Latest Website Upgrade:

Various features recently added to the RealTruth.org website are now available on TheRCG.org. They include:

• “Clickable scriptures”: Readers may now click on every biblical reference, including longer passages, within every piece of literature (html). Text will instantly appear above the scripture citation (screenshot). You may also click to either the previous or following verses of a text (going as far as you wish, even to other chapters) to examine fuller context. Also, with the “click and drag” feature, you can move scripture windows away from the text, making them available for later reference. This unprecedented feature, with its multiple functions, is found nowhere else on the Internet! (In fact, this highly complex and sophisticated creation that our developers have designed and implemented is copyrighted by The Restored Church of God; this also applies to certain other features.) 
• Vastly improved, more user-friendly design: The site now offers (1) state-of-the-art layout; (2) more intuitive navigation; (3) faster or even instantaneous page loading; (4) printer-friendly formats; (5) improved adjustable font sizes; (6) multiple options for sorting literature; (7) page width that dynamically sizes to fit the user’s screen—and more. 
• “Related material”: This convenient new feature automatically generates a list of everything referenced in any particular piece of literature (books, booklets, articles, Bible course lessons, Q&A’s, prophetic trend reports, etc.) on this website! (Audio to be added.)

OTHER TECHNICAL FEATURES (For those familiar with programming/web design):

• There has been a 62% drop in the number of templates used in our custom-designed content management system. This includes all literature items, now displayed through a unified template.
• The entire site follows the XHTML 1.0 and CSS 2 standards. Our tableless design ensures the site will display and function properly on a variety of devices (computers, cellphones, PDAs, etc.).
• Our “Font Size” feature resolves the “font jump” bug found on many websites, where fonts are loaded after the page loads, causing a jump from a smaller font size to a larger one. As far as we know, this has not been corrected on any other website. It is one-of-a-kind.
• HTML document features (pop-up images, scriptures, etc.) use a custom-designed server-side caching system, making loading even faster and requiring less server resources—this is in addition to the instant load feature.
• Many of the dynamic features—such as our counters and sort functions—implement Asynchronous JavaScript and XML (AJAX) to dramatically reduce the initial load time of a page.
• Our unique, copyrighted Render function, which makes scriptures clickable, has been optimized for much greater speed and accuracy. Render is a real-time, inline post-processor content filter that, upon finding a trigger (such as a scripture reference), can perform any function based on that trigger.
